Ingredients :
Dal vadis – 9-10
Bottle gourd skin peeled and cubed – 1 cup
Salt to taste
Onions finely chopped – 1
Tomatoes finely chopped – 2
Finely chopped coriander leaves – 3 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tbsp
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Green chillies finely chopped – 2
Grated ginger – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Method :
1)
Wash the vadis and pat them dry
2)
In a pressure cooker take oil and splutter jeera
3)
Add onions and sauté till light pink
4)
Add ginger and green chillies, turmeric powder and sauté
well
5)
Add the tomatoes and sauté till oil oozes out
6)
Add salt, chilli powder and garam masala and mix well
7)
Add the cubed bottle gourd and the vadis, add 1 cup
water and give 2-3 whistles
8)
Garnish with coriander leaves
