MANGO BESAN BURFI

Ingredients :

Besan – ½ cup
Mango puree – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Ghee – 3 tbsp

Method :

1)     In a pan take 1 tbsp ghee and roast the besan to dark brown or till a nice aroma comes, keep aside
2)     In the same pan take the mango puree add sugar and start cooking till it becomes like a thick custard
3)     Add the besan, ghee and start stirring till it starts getting thicker and leaving the sides. It will be a mass consistency
4)     Grease a rectangle plate and put this mixture and level it with a spatula
5)     Once cool cut into small squares




Variations :

the recipe mentioned cardamom powder and sliced almonds pistachios etc but i did not add any of these as i wanted the flavour of the mango completely retained
