Ingredients :
Maida – 225 gms
Baking powder – 2 tsp
Pepper – 1 tsp
Cold butter – 50 gms
Grated cheddar cheese – 100 gms + 2 tbsp for garnishing
Dried oregano or any other herb – 2 tbsp + for garnishing
Curd/Yoghurt – 100 ml + some for brushing
Water – 50 ml
Salt to taste
Chilli powder or spicy mustard powder – 1 tbsp
Method :
1)
In a mixing bowl mix maida and baking powder well
2)
Add salt, chilli powder/mutard powder, pepper powder
and mix well
3)
Mix the butter and knead well to resemble bread crumbs
4)
Add the grated cheese and mix well
5)
Mix the yoghurt and water well
6)
Make a well and add the yoghurt-water mixture, knead well
to make a smooth spongy dough
7)
Roll this into a 3 cm paratha
8)
Cut it into 8 quarters
9)
Brush with little yoghurt-water mixture, top it with
cheese and oregano
10) Line
them in a greased tray and bake them for 13-15 mins in a 190 degree preheated
oven or till the crust is light brown
11) Serve
warm with butter for breakfast
