Ingredients :
Chana dal soaked in water for 2 hours – ½ cup
Tur dal – ½ cup
Onions finely chopped – 1
Tomatoes finely chopped – 1
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Garam masala – ½ tbsp.
Chilli powder – ½ tbsp.
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp.
Coriander leaves finely chopped – for garnishing
For tempering :
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Cinnamon – 1”
Cloves – 4-5
Bay leaves – 2
Method :
1)
In a pressure cooker cook the dals with turmeric powder
for 2-3 whistles. Mash the dals but make sure chana dal is not fully mashed

In a pan take ghee splutter jeera

Add the cinnamon, cloves and bay leaves and sauté for a
min
4)
Add the chopped onions and ginger garlic, sauté till brown
5)
Add the tomatoes and salt and sauté till mushy
6)
Add the chilli powder, garam masala and sauté till
well blended
7)
Add the cooked dal and cook till it is well blended
8)
Garnish with coriander leaves
