VERMICELLI TIKKIS

Ingredients :

Onions chopped finely – 1
Ginger chopped finely – 1”
Garlic chopped finely – 2
Salt to taste
Vermicelli – 1 cup
Boiled and mashed potatoes – 1
Finely chopped coriander leaves – 5 tbsp
Grated carrot – 1/5 cup
Peas mashed – 1/5 cup
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Dhania powder – 1 tsp
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Finely chopped spring onions – 1/5 cup
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp + for sauteing

Method :

1)     In a pan take water and boil the vermicelli till well cooked, drain the water
2)     In a pan take oil splutter jeera, add onions, ginger and garlic
3)     Sauté till light brown
4)     Add chilli powder, garam masala, dhania powder, salt and sauté well
5)     Add carrots, peas and cook well
6)     One cooled, add this mixture to the cooked vermicelli and mix well mashing it
7)     Add coriander leaves and mix
8)     Make tikkis and cook till done in a non stick pan
