Ingredients :
Flat broad beans – ¼ kg
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Dessiccated coconut – 3 tbsps
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Sugar – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
For the muthiyas :
Finely chopped methi – 1 cup
Salt to taste
Wheat flour – ¼ cup
Besan – ¼ cup
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Soda – 1 pinch
Green chilli ginger paste – 1 tsp
For tempering :
Oil – 3 tbsp
Rai - - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Ajwain – 1 tsp
Hing – ½ tsp
Method :
1)
Remove the ends and strings of the beans and open it,
cut it into 2
2)
Mix all the ingredients for muthiya, add very little water
and make a tight dough
3)
Make balls of this and steam, once cooled cut into 2
4)
Microwave the beans till they are cooked, they should
not be over cooked
5)
In a pan take oil and temper rai, jeera, hing and
ajwain
6)
Add the beans, chilli powder, coriander powder, sugar
and salt and sauté well
7)
Add the steamed muthiyas, adjust salt and cover and
cook till well blended
8)
Sprinkle dessicated coconut and sauté for a min more
