Ingedients :
Velarrika or south indian cucumber cut into cubes – 1
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
For paste :
Small onions – 4
Coconut oil – 1 tsp
Coconut – 1 cup
Green chillies – 3
Yoghurt – ½ cup
Jeera – 1 tsp
For tempering :
Coconut oil – 1 tsp
Rai – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 5-6
Method :
1)
In a pan take the veggies, add turmeric powder, salt
and start boiling till it gets cooked
2)
In a smaller pan take 1 tsp coconut oil and sauté small
onions till light brown
3)
Grind this along with the other ingredients for
grinding, use yogurt instead of water
4)
Add this paste to the cooked veggie and give 1 boil
5)
In a pan take coconut oil add ingredients for tempering
and add to the curry
Note :
This can be had as an accompaniment like pachadi/raita or as
a gravy with chapathi or mixed with rice like a kadhi
