SOOJI AND VERMICELLI IDLIS

Ingredients :

Sooji – ½ cup
Vermicelli – ½ cup
Salt to taste
Finely chopped green chillies – 4
Grated ginger – 1 tsp
Curd – 1 cup
Finely chopped coriander leaves – ¼ cup

For tempering :

Oil – 1 tbsp
Rai – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp

Method :

1)     In a pan dry roast sooji till light brown, keep aside
2)     Dry roast vermicelli till golden brown, keep aside
3)     In the same pan take oil splutter rai, urad dal till it becomes light brown
4)     Add the green chillies and ginger and sauté well
5)     Add this to the vermicelli and rawa mixture, let it cool\
6)     Add salt and curd and mix well to a thick batter, keep aside for 20 mins
7)     Mix well again and add water if you think it is too thick
8)     Make idlis in a idli cooker
