SAVOURY SEMOLINA CAKE

Ingredients :

Sooji or rawa – 1 cup
Finely chopped beans – ¼ cup
Grated carrots – ¼ cup
Salt to taste
Yoghurt – 1 cup
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Finely chopped green chillies – 2
Finely chopped onions – 1
Soda – ½ tsp
Grated ginger – ½ tsp
White sesame – for garnishing
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp


For tempering :

Oil – 3 tbsp
Rai – 1 tsp
Jeera – 1 tsp

Method :

1)     In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients except yoghurt and mix well
2)     In a pan take oil and splutter rai and jeera
3)     Add this to the mixture and mix well
4)     Add yoghurt and mix to make a thick batter
5)     Just before baking, add soda and beat well
6)     Preheat the oven to 200 degrees
7)     Pour the batter into a bread tin and garnish fully with white sesame
8)     Bake for 30-35 mins or till you see the sides brown
