Ingredients :
Maida – 1 and ½ cups
Water – ½ cup
Milk – ¼ cup (I used ½ cup milk and ¼ water as I used low
fat milk)
Salt to taste
Sugar – ½ tsp
Yeast – 1 and ½ tsp
Butter – 2 tbsp
Oil for applying over the dough – as required
Mixture :
Onions chopped fine – 1
Coriander leaves chopped fine – 2 tbsp
Green chilli paste or finely chopped – 3
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Method :
1)
Warm the milk and water, dissolve sugar and yeast mix
and keep aside for half hour till it froths
2)
In a pan take oil, splutter cumin seeds

Add onions and sauté till light brown
4)
Add salt, chillies and sauté for a while
5)
Garnish with coriander leaves and keep aside
6)
In a large mixing bowl add the flour, salt, butter and
mix well
7)
Add the yeast mixture and make a dough by mixing it for
10-15 mins till it becomes smooth
8)
Make a crater in the dough, add the mixture close and
start kneading again till the mixture incorporates well, kneading should be for
12-15 mins
9)
Apply little oil on top and leave it covered in a warm
place for an hour and half to double
10) Punch
it and knead again for 5-7 mins
11) Make
balls out of this, line it in a greased tray and leave it covered for an hour
to rise again
12) Brush
this with milk and bake in a preheated oven of 180 degrees for 10-15 mins till
the crust gets brown.
13) Brush with
butter whilst it is hot and have with tea or coffee
