Ingredients :
Flat beans – 2 cups
Salt to taste
Finely chopped shallots of small onions – 6
Finely chopped green chillies – 4
Fresh grated coconut – for garnishing
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tsps
Finely chopped garlic (optional) – 1
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Method :
1)
Destring the flat beans and cut it horizontally into 3
2)
Microwave the beans till it is cooked
3)
In a pan take oil splutter rai and add turmeric powder
4)
Add onions, green chillies and garlic if adding and sauté
till it becomes transculent
5)
Add the cooked beans, salt and cover and cook till well
mixed
6)
Garnish with grated coconut
