TAWA PULAO

Ingredients :

Basmati rice – 2 cups
Finely chopped onions – 2
Finely chopped capsicum – 1
Finely chopped tomatoes – 2
Salt to taste
Carrots chopped into small cubes – 1
Potatoes chopped into small cubes – 1
Green peas – ½ cup
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Pav bhaji masala – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Butter -2 tbsp
Jeera – 1 tsp

Method :

1)     Cook basmati rice with salt till grains are separate
2)     In a pan take oil and butter, splutter jeera
3)     Add turmeric and ginger garlic paste
4)     Add onions and sauté till light brown
5)     Add capsicum and sauté till soft
6)     Cook the veggies, do not over cook them
7)     Add tomatoes, salt and sauté till mushy
8)     Add chilli powder, pav bhaji masala and sauté till the oil oozes
9)     Add the cooked veggies and rice and sauté them for 15 mins on low flame
