This is generally given as prasad in gurudwaras and not everyone can make it the way they do.. i got this from a friend of mine who makes it very often..
Ingredients :
Wheat flour – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Ghee – 1 cup
Water – 2 cups
Method :
1)
In a pan take water and sugar and boil till melted,
keep on sim flame
2)
In a non stick pan, take ghee and add wheat flour and roast
it on very slow gas till it is medium brown (the indication is it should
resemble glucose biscuit colour) – the consistency would be semi liquid because
of the ghee
3)
Switch off the gas and add the syrup to the wheat flour
mixture and stir till it leaves the sides
variation :
you can add almond slices while cooking it
you can sprinkle cardamom powder, i prefer not to as i like the wheat flour smell
