GUR PAPDI

Ingredients :

Wheat flour – 1 cup
Jiggery – 1 cup
Ghee – 1 cup + 1 tsp
Khus khus – to sprinkle
Sliced almonds – 3 tbsps
Nutmeg powder – 1 tsp

Method :

1)     In a non stick pan, take 1 cup ghee and roast wheat flour on medium flame till you get a nice aroma of roasted wheat.
2)     Add sliced almonds and switch off the gas, keep aside. Be careful not to burn the flour
3)     In another pan take 1 tsp ghee and melt jiggery in it till well melted
4)     Add this to the wheat flour and stir it without switching on the gas
5)     Pour it into a greased plate, sprinkle khus khus over it and leave it to cool
6)     While it is still warm, cut it into pieces.
