Ingredients :
Snake gourd cut into quarters – 1 cup
Cooked tur dal – ½ cup
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
For paste :
Grated coconut – ½ cup
Jeera – 1 tsp
Green chillies – 3
Pepper – 4
For tempering :
Coconut oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 4-5
Hing – a pinch
Method :
1)
In a pan take the snake gourd add salt and turmeric
powder and start boiling till well cooked
2)
Add the ground paste and mix well
3)
Add the cooked dal and cook for another minute
4)
In a pan take coconut oil, splutter mustard seeds, urad
dal, curry leaves and hing
5)
Temper this over the kootu
