ONION - TOMATO WITH MINT CHUTNEY

Ingredients :

Roughly Chopped onions – 1
Roughly chopped tomatoes – 2
mint leaves - handful
Red chillies – 4
Urad dal – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ghee – 1 tsp

For tempering :

Oil – 1 tsp
Rai – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 5-6

Method :

1)     In a pan take ghee, add urad dal and sauté till light brown
2)     Add the onions and red chillies and sauté till it becomes light brown
3)     Add the tomatoes and sauté till it becomes mushy, add salt and mint leaves
4)     Grind this with little water to a smooth paste
5)     In a pan take oil, splutter rai, add urad dal and curry leaves
6)     Garnish this on the chutney and serve with dosa, idlis etc
