This is a famous snack of Mangalore, like a puri, available in udipi restaurants and is had at tea time along with tea.. slightly sweet but very tasty..
Ingredients :
Maida – ½ kg
Bananas (soft) – 2
Curds – 2 tbsp
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Salt – a pinch
Soda – 1/4 tsp
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Oil for frying
Method :
1)
In a vessel take ½ cup water
2)
Add salt, sugar, soda, ghee, mashed bananas and curds
to it, mix well
3)
Add the flour and knead well
4)
Keep it overnight for 8 hours to ferment
5)
roll small puris and deep fry
Note :
Make thick puris so that it comes softer
