This chutney is a simple chutney to be had with idlis dosas or other south indian snacks
Ingredients :
small onions/shallots - 10-12 nos
urad dal - 2 tbsp
chana dal - 2 tbsp
salt to taste
red chilies - 3
garlic - 1
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
ghee - 1 tsp
coriander leaves - 4-5 stems
method :
1) In a pan take ghee and splutter rai
2) add the red chillies, garlic, shallots, dals and roast well till the raw smell goes
3) add salt and coriander leaves and switch off the gas
4) grind this in a mixie to a fine paste adding very little water
