These kulchas are made more of wheat flour and less maida..
Ingredients :
Ingredients :
Whole wheat flour – 3 cups
Maida – ½ cup
Rawa – 2 tbsp
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Yeast – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Olive oil – 2 tbsp
½ cup warm milk
Warm water for making the dough
Filling :
Boiled and mashed potatoes – 2
Chopped onions – 1
Coriander leaves chopped – 2 tbsp
Kasuri methi – 1 tbsp
Grated ginger – 1 tbsp
Finely chopped green chillies – 4-5
Chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala – 1 tbsp each
Salt to taste
Jeera – 1 tsp
Haldi powder – 1 tsp
Method :
1)
Add all ingredients and make a smooth dough by kneading
it for 10 mins. Apply oil and keep aside covered in a warm place for 2 hours
2)
Mix all the ingredients for the filling and keep aside
3)
Make a cricket size ball, roll it into a puri, add
filling as required, seal it and lightly pat it into a think chapathi.
4)
Apply butter and sprinkle coriander leaves or black til.
5)
Line them in a greased baking tray, and bake them for
10 mins in 250 degrees
