This is a konkani dish and is a small pancake made of veggies, extremely tasty and can be had as a side dish with other main courses
Ingredients :
Finely chopped cabbage – 1 cup
Finely grated carrots – ½ cup
Finely chopped capsicum – ¼ cup\
Finely chopped onions – 1
Grated coconut – ¼ cup
Salt to taste
Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Maize flour for dusting
Finely chopped coriander leaves
Besan – ½ cup
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Tamarind – 2 tbsp
Oil – for shallow frying
Method :
1)
Mix all the ingredients in a wide bowl except oil,
besan and maize flour, keep aside
2)
After half hour when you mix it, it will be moist due
to the water from the veggies
3)
Add besan and mix well, make balls out of it
4)
Flatten it on your palm like a mini pancake
5)
Dust it in rawa or maize flour and make like tikkis
