Ingredients :
oats - 1 cup
broken wheat - 1/2 cup
curd - 1/2 cup
salt to taste
eno salt - 1/2 tsp
For tempering :
Ghee - 2 tbsp
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
urad dal - 1 tsp
curry leaves - 5-6
finely chopped green chillies - 4
grated ginger - 1/2 tsp
grated carrot - 1
Method :
1) in a non stick pan dry roast oats for 3-4 mins and powder it fine
2) dry roast broken wheat for 2 mins. mix it will the oats and keep aside
3) in a pan take ghee temper mustard seeds and urad dal till it becomes light brown
4) add green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and mix well
5) switch off the gas and add the grated carrot, mix this with the oats-wheat mixture
6) add curd, salt and water and mix well to make a thick batter like idli batter
7) before making idlis, add eno salt mix well and steam idlis
