Ingredients :
Yellow moong dal - 1/2 cup
cucumber cut into fines cubes - 1
carrots cut into fine cubes - 1/2
lemon juice - as per taste
salt to taste
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
hing - a pinch
coriander leaves chopped - for garnishing
green chillies chopped fine - 1
oil - 1/4 tsp
Method :
1) wash the moong dal, boil water, switch off the gas, and soak the moong dal in it for 15-20 mins, strain
2) transfer this to a wide salad bowl
3) take oil, splutter mustard seeds, add green chillies, hing and add this to the dal mixture
4) add the carrots and the cucumber.
5) add salt, lemon juice and mix well
6) garnish with coriander leaves
