SOLKADI


Ingredients :


Fresh grated coconut – 1
Green chillies – 3
Garlic pods – 4
Kokam leaves soaked in half hour – 6
Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Pepper corns – 4

Method :

1) grind the grated coconut, green chillies and garlic with ¼ cup water
2) remove the milk of this and keep aside
3) repeat grinding it once again with less than ¼ cup water
4) remove the 2nd milk and mix with the 1st milk, sieve the milk and keep aside
5) squeeze the kokam to remove the pulp and sieve the juice
6) mix this kokam juice with the coconut milk mixture
7) garnish with chopped coriander leaves
8) have this with steamed rice
