BROWN CHANA

Ingredients :

Brown chana soaked overnight – 1 cup
Tomatoes chopped fine – 2
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Haldi powder – 1 tsp

Paste of :
Coriander leaves – ½ cup
Green chillies – 3
Ginger – 1”Fresh grated coconut – 1

Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method :

1)     In a pressure cooker, add oil, splutter jeera and haldi powder
2)     Add the tomatoes and cook till mushy
3)     Add the coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala, salt, and mix well
4)     Add the ground coriander paste and mix well
5)     Add the brown chana and pressure cook for 4-05 whistles till done
6)     Garnish with coriander leaves
