HAYAGRIVA


Ingredients :



Chana dal soaked in water for 2 hours – 1 cup

Jaggery grated – ¾ cup

Khus khus roasted – 1 tbsp

Cardamom powder for garnishing

Water – ¼ cup

Ghee – 3 tbsp

Chopped cashew and kismis – 2 tbsp

Fresh grated coconut – 4 tbsp



Method :



1) Cook the chana dal till it becomes soft but not mushy, drain the water.

2) In a pan take the jaggery and boil with ¼ cup water till it fully melts and gets thicker

3) Add 1 tbsp ghee, roasted khus khus and add the cooked dal, stir well till it becomes thicker

4) Roast cashew nuts and kismis in ghee till it becomes light brown

5) Garnish with cardamom powder and cashew-kismis

6) Lastly add fresh coconut and mix
