Ingredients :
Left over idli dough - 2 cups
salt to taste
onions chopped fine - 1
green chillies chopped fine - 3
coriander leaves - 4 tbsp
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
urad dal - 1 tsp
ginger grated - 1 tsp
oil - as required
Method :
1) in a pan, take oil and splutter mustard seeds
2) add urad dal and saute till it becomes light brown
3) add the onions, green chillies and ginger and fry till it becomes pink
4) add coriander leaves, switch off the gas and add this mixture to the idli dough
5) add salt as required and mix well, our paniyaram dough is ready
6) take the appam mould and put 2-3 drops of oil in each mould
7) once it becomes hot, put the idli dough till the brim, cover
8) once it gets cooked, trun it to the other side and cook well by keeping it covered
9) remove and serve hot with coconut chutney or tomato chutney
