YELLOW BANANA CHIPS

This is my father in law's recipe (he is a wonderful cook) and i have been wanting to take a video of this, unfortunately, he makes these chips when I go to office. So i told him to write the recipe exactly as he makes it, so though I have typed it, it is just copied as it is

Ingredients :

green banana - 1 dozen
refined oil for frying
salt mixed in water - 2 tbsps in 1/2 cup of water

Method :

1) Remove skin from the banana and keep aside
2) Heat the oil in a heavy bottomed kadai
3) when the oil is hot (check by putting one small piece and if the piece comes up immediately), slice the banana in a slicer directly into the oil - approximately 2 bananas in a batch
4) always try to move the chips from one side of the hot oil so as to keep the chips in a slightly vertical position. make sure that the flame is maintained at the same level at all times
5) when the sizzling sound of the oil stops, its an indication that the chips are ready to be taken out.
6) take 1 tsp of the salted water and spread it over the chips while in the oil, there would be a sizzling noise
7) when the noise stops, remove the chips and put it in a strainer
8) once cooled, put it in airtight box
