TOMATO, BEET & DAL SOUP

Ingredients :

Tomatoes chopped into 4 - 3
beetroot chopped roughly - 1/2 of a medium size
onions shopped roughly - 1
masoor dal - 1/2 cup
butter - 1 tbsp and 1 tbsp for topping
ginger - 1/4"
salt, pepper to taste

Method :

1) In a pressure cooker, add 1 tbsp of butter and saute the onions till it becomes dark pink
2) add the tomaotoes, beet and the dal and saute well
3) add the ginger and saute
4) add water and cook with 4-5 whistles
5) mash the cooked mixture with a hand blender and sieve the clear soup
6) add salt and pepper to taste and top with butter
