LEMON RASAM

Ingredients :

Toor dal cooked - 1 cup
pepper-jeera powder - 1 tbsp
salt to taste
lemon juice - 2 lemons
turmeric powder - 1tsp
hing - 1 tsp
green chilli - ginger paste - 1 tbsp
ghee - 1 tbsp
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
cumin seeds - 1 tsp
finely chopped coriander leaves - for garnishing

Method :

1) In a vessel take the cooked dal along with the water
2) add turmeric powder, salt, hing and boil
3) add the green chilli-ginger paste and boil till the raw smell goes
4) In a pan add ghee, splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds
5) add the pepper-jeera powder and add to the rasam, switch off the gas
6) add the lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves
