CABBAGE RICE

Ingredients :

Cabbage grated - 1 cup
basmati rice - 1 cup
ghee - 3 tbsps
oil - 2 tbsps
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
urad dal - 1 tsp
chilli powder (the one which is used to eat with Idli or dosa)
salt to taste
turmeric powder - 1 tsp

Method :

1) cook the basmati rice till it is cooked, dont let it get mashy, it should be separate
2) In a pan add the ghee and the oil, splutter mustard seeds
3) add urad dal and saute till it is light pink
4) add turmeric powder
5) add the cabbage, salt cover and cool till done
6) add the chilli powder and mix well, swtich off the gas
7) add the cooked rice and mix well.
8) serve with raita and chips
