Ingredients :
Figs - 1 cup
seedless dates - 1/2 cup
ghee - 5 tbsp
chopped dry fruits (cashew nuts, almonds and pistachios) - 3/4 cup
Method :
Soak the figs in hot water for 1 hour. The figs would bloat
Puree this in a mixie
chop the dates fine or you can crush the dates or even use dates paste
in a non stick pan, add 2 tbsp of ghee
add the figs puree and saute for 5 mins
then add the dates and cook for 5 mins
add the chopped dry fruits and keep cooking till it starts leaving the sides
grease a plate with ghee and keep ready
add the rest of the ghee and keep stirring till it starts forming a soft lump
pour this in the plate and flatten it with the back of a ladle to make it smooth
once cooled refrigerate
you can cut it into square pieces.
Note :
This is a very nutritious sweet with absolutely no sugar
