Ingredients :
Chick peas soaked for half a day - 1 cup
grated coconut for garnishing - 2 tbsp
salt to taste
For tempering :
oil - 2 tbsps
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
turmeric powder - 1 tsp
curry leaves - 5-6
Powder :
ghee - 1 tsp
hing (stick) - a small piece
red chillies - 3-4
dhania seeds - 1 tbsp
Method :
Cook the chick peas
For the powder, take ghee in a pan, add the hing and saute till it enlarges
add the dhania seeds and the chillies and roast till the seeds become slightly brown
powder this and keep aside
take oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds and let it splutter
add the turmeric powder and the cooked chick peas
add turmeric and salt and saute for 5 mins
lastly add the ground powder
garnish with grated coconut
