METHI RICE

This is a sindhi dish. I actually tried it first time in the temple and I loved the taste so I asked one of my sindhi friends in my building to give me the recipe.

Ingredients :
Finely chopped methi leaves - 2 cups
tomatoes chopped fine - 1 cup
salt to taste
jeera - 1 tsp
green chillies chopped fine - 2 tbsp
garlic chopped fine - 1 tsp
ghee - 3 tbsp
basmati rice - 3 cups

Method :
soak the basmati rice for 1/2 hour and cook it with a little salt till it is 3/4 done
in a pan, add ghee and add the jeera, chopped chillies and garlic and saute for 1 min
add the chopped tomatoes, salt and saute till the tomatoes become mashy
add the methi leaves and saute till the oil oozes
add the 3/4 cooked rice, add water and cook the rice till it is almost done
