Ingredients :
Tur dal cooked with turmeric powder - 1 cup
green chillies cut into medium size pieces - 3
Hing stick - a small piece
Tomatoes chopped fine - 1 medium
salt to taste
jeera - 1 tsp
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Oil - 1 tsp
coriander leaves for garnishing
Method :
in a pan take oil and splutter mustard seeds
add the jeera, hing and the chillies, saute for a min
add tomatoes and saute for 2-3 minutes (dont let the tomatoes become mashy)
add the cooked dals, water, salt and boil for 10 mins in slow flame
garnish with coriander leaves
