Ingredients :
Fresh grated coconut - 1 cup mounted
sugar - 1 cup flat (same cup to be used)
milk - 1/2 cup
ghee - 1/2 cup
cardamom powder - 1 tsp
ghee for greasing a plate
Method :
In a non stick pan, mix the coconut, sugar and milk and mix well
Start cooking it adding ghee in between till the water evaporates and the mixture starts leaving the sides (you can remove it from heat when it froths up with holes in the centre)
just before you remove it, add the cardamom powder (you can even add this immediately after you pour this onto the place)
grease a plate and pour this mixture immediately
once it is warm, cut it into small squares.
some people add saffron, but again, I dont prefer as the coconut smell would be lost. the combination of coconut and cardamom would be very good.
