CHANA DAL

This is a simple dal and can be had everyday as a gravy dish

Ingredients
Chana dal soaked in water for 1 hour - 1 cup
green chillies slit lengthwise - 2
besan - 1 tbsp
cumin seed - 1 tsp
oil - 1 tsp
salt to taste
coriander leaves - for garnishing

In a pressure pan add little oil and add cumin seeds
saute till it splutters
add the green chillies and the besan and saute till the raw aroma of the besan goes
add the soaked chana dal, little water (coves the dal) and the salt and give 2-3 whistles
garnish with coriander leaves
