I love besan laddoos but never had the courage to try it as i a aware that it needs a lot of sauteing it in low flame and still it doesnt always come out perfect. also we dont generally make besan laddoos for diwali so never thought I should go through the trouble of trying and testing. till i found an easy recipe of food blogger Micky Singh on FB. Trust me if you follow the exact proportion and method as below, you can never go wrong. the secret is to use the same cup for all the ingredients
Ingredients :
Besan – 2 cups
Ghee – ½ cup
Powdered Sugar – 2/3 cup
Sooji – 1 tbsp
Method :
1)
In a microwave bowl, add the ghee and microwave it for
30 seconds (the measurement of the ghee should be after it is melted)
2)
Add the besan and sooji and mix it well
3)
Microwave it for 2 mins
4)
Mix it well
5)
microwave it for 4 more mins but mixing it well after
every minute
6)
it should be now resemble a dark mustard mixture which
is a little powdery (you may need to microwave it for a 30 secs to a minute more
but make sure not to burn it)
7)
let it cool, add the powdered sugar and mix well
8)
quickly make laddoos
9)
you can garnish it with a pista sliver
Notes :
Sooji should be added if the besan is the fine or baarik variety. if you are using the coarse besan, the sooji need not be added
do not use more or less of ghee as mentioned above, use the exact quantity
