Ingredients :
Raw banana cut into big cubes – 4
Onion sliced thin – 2
Tomatoes sliced thin – 2
Salt to taste
Sambhar powder – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
For tempering :
Oil – 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 5-6
For grinding :
Shallots – 4
Fresh grated coconut – 3 tbsp
Method :
1)
In a pan take oil and splutter mustard seeds
2)
Add curry leaves
3)
Add the sliced onions and sauté till it becomes light
brown
4)
Add tomatoes and sauté till mushy
5)
Add salt, turmeric powder, sambhar powder and mix well
6)
Add the banana cubes, sprinkle some water, cover and
cook
7)
Grind the shallots and coconut in a mixie without
adding water
8)
Add this mixture to the vegetable and cook for another
5 mins on sim flame
9)
Serve hot with chapathi or sambhar/rasam rice as an
accompaniment
