Ingredients :
For the jamuns :
Milk powder – 2 cups
Maida – 1/2 cup
Baking soda – ½ tsp
ghee - 2 tbsp
ghee - 2 tbsp
lukewarm milk – to knead a soft dough
For the sugar syrup :
Sugar – 3 cups
Water – 3 and ½ cups
Rose essence – 1 tbsp
Method :
1)
In a wide vessel, mix maida, ghee, milk powder, baking soda
well
2)
Add milk little by little to form a soft loose dough
(it should be loose but you should be able to make smooth balls)
3)
Fry them one by one in ghee till golden brown (they get
heated up soon, so fry them in medium flame)
4)
In the meantime, take sugar and water and make a syrup –
no string consistency but it should not be watery
5)
Add rose essence and switch off the flame
6)
Drop hot jamuns immediately after frying in this syrup
