Ingredients :
split green moong dal - 1 cup
green chillies - 5
ginger - 1"
salt to taste
curd - 3 tbsp
soda - 1/2 tsp
for tempering :
oil - 3 tbsp
mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
jeera - 1 tbsp
ajwain - 1 tbsp
green chillies slit - 3
fresh grated coconut - to garnish
chopped coriander leaves - for garnish
method :
1) soak the moong dal over night
2) drain, grind it with green chillies & ginger to a fine paste without adding much water
3) add salt and curd mix well and keep aside for an hour
4) add soda and whisk well.
5) steam in dokla plate for 5-7 mins, cut them into squares
6) in a wide non stick pan, add oil, splutter rai, jeera & ajwain
7) add the steamed doklas and saute till nice and crisp for almost 15 mnins
8) garnish with coconut and coriander leaves
9) serve with green chutney
