Ingredients :
Outer covering :
Maida - 1 cup
salt to taste
ghee - 2 tbsp
baking powder - 1/4 tsp
water - as required
Mixture :
Frozen peas - 1 cup
oil - 2 tbsp
besan - 1 tbsp
green chilli - ginger paste - 3 tbsp
salt to taste
chilli powder - 1 tsp
amchur powder - 1 tbsp
chaat masala - 1 tsp
fennel seed powder - 1 tsp (roast fennel and powder)
Covering :
1) In a pan take maida, baking powder, add hot ghee, salt and crumble it
2) add enough water to form a firm smooth dough and keep aside for 30 mins
Filling :
1) microwave the frozen peas for 10 mins and mash it, keep aside
2) In a pan heat oil, add besan and saute till it becomes light brown
3) add the peas, chilli ginger paste and mix well
4) add chilli powder, chaat masala, amchur powder, fennel powder, salt and mix well
5) saute till it becomes a dry mixture
Going ahead :
roll out a small puri, add the filling inside it, seal it and flatten it with your palm lightly and deep fry
serve with chutney
